TriMet beta testing its Hop Pass - new fare system
During yesterday's forum, TriMet General Manager Neil McFarlane shared information about the mass transit agency's new fare card.
It's currently in beta testing, but the Hop Fastpass is expected to be available later this year.
The pass is basically a card TriMet riders will be able to buy at local retailers and load money on to it electronically.
It will allow riders to "tap and go" as they board buses, light rail, or streetcars; plus, it will have a saving incentives program.
The Hop Fastpass will be good for rides on C-Tran, TriMet, and the Portland Streetcar.
