Final report for Transportation Futures Study has arrived
Washington County has wrapped up its Transportation Futures Study.
The study was created to look into the future 40-50 years and see the transportation needs in the region.
It resulted in the comparison of three investment packages that includes existing roads, new roads, transit, biking, walking, smart technology, and costs.
It also looks at scenarios for growth and employment.
One thing seems to be certain, residents and businesses should expect more traffic congestion with anticipated traffic delays doubling for most people and quadrupling for freight.
