Taking a look at local tourism and the economy
WEA's Executive Director Pam Treece's column in the Business Tribune this month focuses on resources here on the Westside that help make it such an attractive place for recreation and tourism.
Treece also looks at some of the numbers when it comes to the amount of economic impact tourism has on the Westside economy.
Interestingly, the City of Tigard will implement a Transient Lodging Tax (TLT) of its own starting in September that is expected to bring in an additional $625,000 in tourism revenue.
