Congressman Kurt Schrader shares Washington, DC insight
Healthcare, tax reform, career and technical education, immigration, fake news, and international relations were all discussed at a recent Breakfast Forum with Congressman Kurt Schrader.
The 5th District's congressional representative said he finds comfort in knowing there are three generals working in the White House that would probably tackle President Trump before he reached any button, referring to Trump's tweets at North Korea.
Schrader said Congress is getting work done, and the President is just a "work-around" for law makers.
When it comes to tax reform, Schrader said it's going to be difficult.
The Congressman said most people are for tax reform, but don't want to give up their tax breaks.
He's also concerned about any tax reform that would add to the deficit.
