State releases quarterly budget forecast
The Oregon Office Economic Analysis released its quarterly Economic & Revenue Forecast for the state in March.
When it comes to good news, it looks like the Oregon economy is still hitting the sweet spot - employment growth appears to be meeting population growth and wages are up.
If experts are sorting through the complexities of the federal tax cut right, it's possible there may be some bad news in the short term as we look at a possible $200 million shortfall this biennium.
Although, long term it looks like the federal tax cut will increase state revenues $200 million per biennium over the course of the decade.
