Committee chats about land use in North Plains
The WEA Land Use & Housing Committee met with North Plains Mayor Teri Lenahan and City Manager Andy Varner.
It was a casual conversation about growth in the city of nearly 3,000 people.
The city has been working to update its comprehensive plan, which includes planning for housing, parks, and schools.
Hundreds of single family homes are expected to be built in North Plains in the next five years, doubling the size of the town.
North Plains is looking to revitalize its downtown area too to make it attractive, yet keep its small town feel at the same time.
