Senator Wyden talks federal issues with WEA crowd
WEA members and guests had the opportunity to hear from and ask questions of U.S. Senator Ron Wyden this morning during a Breakfast Forum.
Wyden spoke on a number of different topics, including trade, infrastructure financing, water supply, housing, cyber security, immigration, and the late Senator John McCain.
The Senator spoke about the need to focus on tax and economic policy that grows Oregon's middle class.
He talked about legislation that would provide tax incentives for middle income housing and a tax credit for first time home buyers.
The Senator said he believes in doing things the "Oregon way" or the "Washington County way," which is to find common ground, take good ideas wherever you can get them (regardless of party affiliation), and solve problems together.
