State of Washington County takes a fresh approach

 

SOC group   The State of the County was hosted this year by the Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District at the Conestoga Recreation and Aquatic Center on April 17.
   There were more than 200 members of the public in attendance.
   The speakers for the evening were the elected officials in Washington County including Chair Kathryn Harrington, District 1 Commissioner Dick Schouten, District 2 Commissioner Pam Treece, District 3 Commissioner Roy Rogers, and District 4 Commissioner Jerry Willey.  Also included were Sheriff Pat Garrett, District Attorney Kevin Barton, Presiding Judge Charlie Bailey, Auditor John Hutzler, and Justice Court Judge Dan Cross.

   After a brief introduction by Chair Harrington, each of the speakers gave a short introduction of themselves and why they chose to run for office.  They then talked about key issues in their respective areas.
