Board endorses Hillsboro School District bond measure
The WEA Board of Directors has voted to endorse the Hillsboro School District's bond renewal, which will go to voters this November.
This bond renewal would fund $408 million in capital construction projects.
The district has said it would prioritize safety and security, update and repair aging school buildings, address overcrowding while planning for future growth, and provide a modern education for students.
It would not increase the current property tax rate, but would instead stay at the existing tax rate of $2.24 per $1,000 of assessed value.
