WEA was wheelin' it through Wilsonville

Economic Development Bike Tour Group Shot 2017   Participants of the WEA Economic Development Bike Tour got a street view and sometimes a closer look at the development occurring in Wilsonville.
After a brief kick off lunch, those on the tour pedaled off to the future site of a bicycle/pedestrian bridge over the Willamette River, also known as the French Prairie Bridge Project.
As the tour wound its way west, it stopped in what is the heart of the Villebois development, the Villebois Piazza, which was also the site of the former Dammash State Hospital.
From there, the riders hauled it up hill on Grahams Ferry Road en route to Republic Services, where they toured the facility.
Finally, the last stop on the tour landed participants in the high tech area of Wilsonville at the Oregon Institute of Technology.
The ride came to a close back at the Steiner-Boozier barn where toasts were made to another successful event.
WEA would like to thank its sponsors: Otak, Kaiser Permanente, Polygon Homes, Republic Services, and Washington County Commissioner Dick Schouten.
Another shout out goes to Bike Gallery for all of its ride support and to the City of Wilsonville's Jordan Vance and his colleagues.
