Land Use & Housing gets an update on Beaverton

 

The Rise Central   New development is on the rise all around Beaverton these days.  
   Kali Bader from Rembold and Jerry Jones, a consultant for the City of Beaverton, were the presenters at a recent Land Use & Housing Committee meeting.  
   Bader shared how her family's company, Rembold, is building two new buildings at Cedar Hills Boulevard and Rose Biggi Avenue.
   The project is referred to as the Rise Central and will have 230 apartments total between the two buildings, plus retail space and parking.
   It will also include 15 units of affordable housing.
   The Rise Old TownThe project will be similar to The Rise Old Town, which is near Beaverton High School on Farmington Road.
   It just opened and is already 96 percent occupied.  
   Rembold also has a senior community of 148 units in the Timberland neighborhood near Barnes Road and 118th Avenue.  
   Jerry Jones, a construction liaison for the City of Beaverton, spoke highly of Rembold's properties.
   In addressing the committee, Jones explained his role with the City of Beaverton.  
   He is acting as a liaison between the city and contractors, property owners, and developers.  
   His role is to help improve communications and customer service for those looking to develop in Beaverton.
