Veterans have a new place to call home
The Northwest Housing Alternatives, along with partners like Washington County, celebrated in January the opening of a new affordable housing complex in Aloha.
Located near Southwest 186th and Blanton the 20 unit complex is dedicated to housing low income veterans and their families.
The development contains five one-bedroom units, serving veterans who are transitioning from or at imminent risk of homelessness, as well as 10 two-bedroom and five three-bedroom units designated for veteran families with children.
It's also named after Betty Pomeroy, who is a retired Army Colonel and a supporter of Washington County veterans.
