Duyck's last "State of the County" brings a standing O
In what felt like a goodbye party, Washington County Chairman Andy Duyck gave his last "State of the County" address.
The format was a bit more casual than years past, as former TV personality Eric Schmidt interviewed Duyck on stage and video clips were played in-between questions.
The topics covered included growth, transportation, housing, water, and the event center.
In the video clips, several Westside leaders shared their insight and at the end gave tribute to Duyck, who has served on the Washington County Board of Commissioners for 24 years.
Duyck is in his eighth year as Chairman of the Board.
The crowd rose to its feet at the end of the program to give Duyck a standing ovation and some were even moved to tears.
