Virginia Garcia opens new wellness center at Cedar Hills

Virginia Garcia Rendering   Local leaders celebrated the opening of the new Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center in Beaverton's Cedar Hills Crossing area.

Up until recently, Virginia Garcia had been providing medical care at a health clinic across the street from the new location.
The new facility is three times the size of the former location, and it will focus on wellness.
It offers medical, dental, pharmacy, and mental/behavioral health services, as well as fitness, diabetes education, and healthy cooking classes, and summer activities for children.
Virginia Garcia's CEO Gil Muñoz said, "With the Wellness Center, we're integrating a model of care that is bringing wellness activities along side of primary care. So that at this new site, we have dental, we have medical, pharmacy, we have the teaching kitchen - all efforts to not only help people when they're sick, but to help people stay healthy."
The Wellness Center is expected to serve 18,000 people and be the most racially and ethnically diverse clinic Virginia Garcia operates.
