Tualatin to Wilsonville traffic is about to flow easier
Leaders from around the region gathered recently to celebrate the near completion of the 124th Avenue extension project.
The new portion of 124th Avenue between Tualatin Sherwood Road and Grahams Ferry Road in Wilsonville is about five miles long and includes construction of a large part of the water pipeline for the Willamette Water Supply Program.
By doing this project together, Washington County and the Willamette Water Supply Program were able to save money and reduce construction impacts to the community.
The new road will open up access to 1,700 acres of industrial land.
It also includes a connector road between SW Tonquin and 124th Avenue to Grahams Ferry Road, which is .7 miles long.
The road is expected to open to commuters in January.
