The City of Hillsboro looks to help businesses & residents struggling

Mayor Callaway Video   To offset some of the short term financial impacts of COVID-19, the City of Hillsboro is allocating $500,000 in grant funding to small businesses and entrepreneurs.
Priority will be given to businesses with 10 employees or fewer; businesses that are a food and drink establishment, education or daycare facility, or businesses that rely on larger gatherings of people; and businesses that are open and operational or are closed due to forced closure.
The City is also working to provide another $500,000 in emergency low-interest loans for small and medium sized businesses.
Households that are struggling to pay rent could also be eligible for assistance.
