Worksystems provides nonprofits with a layoff aversion program
Worksystems, Inc wants to ensure nonprofit service providers in the community are equipped to handle the flood of dislocated workers and struggling families that are seeking help.
As a result, Worksystems has set up a $200,000 Layoff Aversion Fund available to community-based nonprofit employers that are facing the difficult decision of laying off workers as a result of the COVID-19 crisis.
In this initial round of funding, $76,000 will be made available to Washington County nonprofit agencies, and $124,000 will be made available to Multnomah County nonprofit agencies to help avoid layoffs.
Worksystems has also been collecting information and is developing a crisis response and recovery effort.
