Gain a little, lose a little - local employment numbers


Manufacturing   The local unemployment numbers continued to edge downward in November, according to data from the Oregon Employment Department.
   Washington County's unemployment rate dropped slightly to 3.6 percent, while Clackamas slipped to 4.0 percent.
  When it comes to jobs added, Clackamas County employers added 2,500 jobs in a 12 month span between November 2016 and November 2017, and Washington County employers increased its employment gain by 8,500.

  The biggest industry gain came from manufacturing in Washington County, which added 2,100 jobs.
  In Clackamas County the largest industry jobs increase came in construction with 700 added positions.
