Justice Center opens its door for those desperately in need
The Washington County Family Justice Center celebrated its grand opening yesterday.
It had a soft opening March 26 and has already served 316 people during its nearly three weeks infancy.
The center brings together agencies dedicated to supporting those impacted by domestic violence.
Its goal is to help those experiencing domestic violence and to give them just one place where they can find assistance and the resources they need to escape a dangerous situation.
These resources include the Domestic Violence Resource Center, law enforcement, video court connection for restraining orders, the Oregon Law Center, Adelante Mujeres, Voices Set Free, Abuse Recovery and Ministry Services (ARMS) and others.
The center is looking volunteers and donations.
