Westside discussion on transportation needs

Get Moving 2020   On Monday, October 21, Metro held a community discussion asking the following questions--What do the people of Washington County want from their transportation investments? Is it safety?Reliability? Equity? More options to get where we need to go?

The goal of the event was for attendees to share their views and  learn about local investments that could be part of a 2020 regional transportation measure.
The event was held at the Walters Cultural Arts Center in Hillsboro, and it was sponsored by Westside Economic Alliance and Portland General Electric.
Adam Davis, director of Oregon Humanities and host of the popular "Think and Drink" public affairs series, moderated the panel that included:
  • Pam Treece, Washington County Commissioner and co-chair of Metro's Transportation Funding Task Force
  • Sushmita Poddar, Hillsboro business owner
  • Maria Caballero-Rubio, executive director, Centro Cultural
