State Economic & Revenue Forecast looks green
The Oregon Office of Economic Analysis released its quarterly economic and revenue forecast in February, and it shows a Gross General Fund revenue increase of $289 million since last December's forecast.
State economists say the economic indicators have slowed, but the sources of Oregon's tax revenues are outpacing the economy's performance, which makes some wonder if its a permanent or temporary condition.
Economist Josh Lehner said, "U.S. economic growth has settled in around its potential in recent quarters. The outlook is stable and the risk of recession is receding."
Like many forecasts, there are still risk factors, including how the Coronavirus will impact the economy.
