Policy Committees

Westside Economic Alliance members have exclusive access to our three committees: Transportation & Infrastructure, Land Use & Housing, and Policy Committees. Our committees are core element of our programming that provide a member only educational benefit and opportunity to engage with policy & project experts, elected leaders, and industry veterans from throughout our region, in addition to providing critical project updates.

2026 Committee Schedule
1st Thursday, 7:30 – 9am: Transportation and Infrastructure & Land Use and Housing Committees (alternating monthly)
2nd Thursday, 7:30 – 9am: Policy Committee (monthly)

The Transportation and Infrastructure Committee reviews pending and upcoming transportation and infrastructure projects impacting the region as well as meeting with local, state and regional decision makers and their staff. With presentations from key agencies and consultants, committee members have an opportunity to discuss and comment on projects, as well as to provide direct feedback to policy makers.

The Land Use & Housing Committee provides presentations about developments and planning as well as conversations with agency staff and decision makers about relevant policies. From Industrial land supply to regional housing needs, this committee provides insider information and an opportunity to identify advocacy opportunities for WEA.

The Policy Committee monitors key legislation and regulations impacting business, economic development, workforce and other relevant policies affecting the Westside. Committee meetings include presentations from elected leaders, strategic consultants and agency leads, allowing the committee members to determine whether action or support is warranted.
